Eastern Maple, scientifically known as Acer saccharum, is a hardwood species native to North America. It possesses several notable wood properties that make it highly valued in various applications. It often features minimal color variation, providing a consistent and uniform look. The sapwood is lighter in color, creamy in appearance. Typically pale yellow to nearly white.

Also known as Sugar Maple, trees can reach heights of 60 to 100 feet (18 to 30 meters) and sometimes even taller. It has a rounded to oval-shaped crown that spreads out gracefully, providing ample shade beneath its branches. The bark of the Eastern Maple starts off smooth and gray when young but develops furrows and ridges as the tree matures.
